- Geekly Stuff -- Seattle
- WSA (http://wsa.org/main.asp), founded in 1984, is the oldest and largest state-wide technology trade association. There is no better way to get connected to the technology industry in Washington state than with the WSA. They host several SIG (Special Interest Group) events (http://wsa.org/events/sigevents.asp) a month.
- array(bio) (http://www.arraybio.org/) provides a forum for biologists, software developers and business people to network and exchange information about the emerging field of bioinformatics.
- REPC (http://www.repc.com/) is the largest consumer retail recycler of used, surplus, reconditioned computers and peripherals, parts, software and other unusual computer related hardware in the Pacific Northwest. They have stores in Seattle (http://www.repc.com/seattle.html) and Tukwila (http://www.repc.com/tukwila.html).
- House of Science (http://houseofscience.com/) -- Home of Possibility. "With the decaying of the Pacific Northwest economy comes great surplus opportunities", says owner/operator Kevin Hilbiber. Located in Ballard, an Open Source mecca, this shop is great source forelectrical parts, wayyy cool magnets, and an inspirational hotbed of ideas for an upcoming science fair, electronics project, or second-hand store for when you really need a "science" fix.
- Seattle.Rb (http://www.zenspider.com/seattlerb) -- The SeattleRb is a small group of folks who meet every month to chat and hack on Ruby code. They may have their favorite languages, but they have also been raised by their mothers to be polite to folks who don't share the same view.

- Moss (http://moss.kwiki.org/) is about Open Source folk near the Northwest corner of the USA, gathering to discuss ideas and projects. Their first meeting was in May, 2003.

- OSCON 2004 (http://conferences.oreilly.com/oscon/), The O'Reilly Open Source Conference, is being held in Portland, OR for the second year in a row July 26-30, 2004. OSCON (http://conferences.oreilly.com/oscon/) is the place to meet open source leaders, learn useful skills, future directions, and engage in conversations with developers, business leaders, and technology strategists. - The Perl Journal (http://tpj.com), founded in 1996 by Jon Orwant, has been the leading publication for and about Perl programming. Since November 2002, it has been published as a reader-supported monthly e-zine, downloadable in PDF format.
